Happy holiday - CAS card

Hi all !
Welcome back to my blog :)
Since we have a nice long weekend holiday coming up
i was thinking i should make a generic card that can be used in any holiday.
And this had to be another CAS card
For this card i wanted to play a little with my Hero arts large solid flower
I had a large flower which was looking really big on my card so i simply cut out one whole circle of tiny leaves from the flower formation.
Thats why the flower looks like its not exactly a circle .
But i loved the outcome !

Going with that i used my Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 4PK - Borders
for the scalloped border and the flourish .

This flourish is basically one side of a border that is in the set of dies .
Its a lovely set to have :) I strongly recommend this one to crafters who loves borders !

I am really impressed with my own creation this time :D
Well i hope u are too .
Have a great weekend ahead !

Other supplies :
  • Bigshot machine (655268
  • Distress ink pads
  • Echo park papers
  • Sentiment stamp - Mica -Let it snow set .
  • Cardstock - Hobbycraft UK

Thanks card - CAS

Hi everyone ! :)
Hope you all have been great . I have been busy crafting lately
Crafting alot actually but not finding enough time to post about it !

I have been experimenting lately with lot of flower making techniques
to come up with my own flower make
since i find crafting supplies very costly around here ... sply embellishments :(
Anyways i will come up with those in a few days time.

As u may have well observed over a while that my inclination towards Clean and simple cards has
increased immensely !
so  here i go again ! :)
Today i have a thankyou card for you
I found these gorgeous decoupage images in hobbycraft the other day and i grabbed them asa i saw them.
I love the shabbiness and the lovely color scheme of them.
I glitterized the images using hobby craft glitter glue in white. which dries out quite clear and the glittered particles dont have any color of their own so they reflect the color of the paper below.
the only dies i have used here are 658606 sizzix-thinlits-die-set-18pk-flower-vase
for the lovely & intricate border .
And finishing up with some lovely rhinestones from poundland and the thankyou sentiment by Inkadinkado mini's.
Hope u are having a great time this summer.
We are finally enjoying some sun !

Hugs
PJ

Clean and simple cards with sizzix

Today i have some more CAS cards to share with u all .
I am showcasing the new Paula Pascual Flower vases dies
that she has designed with Sizzix.
I was thinking more of spring so i went with this set and the lovely colors that i have used.

I used my dear Lizzy and echo park paper scraps that i had left. Its always fun to use bits and pieces here and there :)
658606 sizzix-thinlits-die-set-18pk-flower-vases is the set i have used here to create both the flowers and the vases . This set has about 18 dies !! Can u imagine ? All different little flowers and various sizes and shapes of vases . To see what this die set has to offer click here

The sentiment is by My mind's eye clear stamps. Remember set.

I added some rhinestones for the bling ! :)

I really enjoyed making these cards .
I think is one versatile die set everyone should get their hands on.

Bithday Boy card - Bright but Masculine.

Hi all !
Today i have a bright and colorful masculine card for you.
I lovee Kraft so i went with some Kraft card stock and some really
amazing echo park papers from the everyday eclectic line.
I think this would be the brightest boy card i ever made :)

This card was made for BGC#29 - Press that button
Where in we were supposed to use buttons on our creation.
The challenge is hosted by our very own talented DT EBBA ! :)
And our returning sponsors are :

Wonderful! that is ....
Now here is my card
For the card base i went with cardstock that i found in Hobby craft UK
Over which i have used the Echo park Everyday eclectic PP .
The embossed circle you see peaking from underneath the PP is
That is one cute set of embossing folders that has one set of chevrons and one set of flourishes
For more details on this folder click here
for the circular border on top at the right.
for more details on the washer border click here
The lovely tag is cut with Memory box tag die !
I have some My mind's eye stamps that i have used here for the sentiments and the flowers etc.

The Eiffel tower is cut with Marianne Design Craftables Die - Eiffel Tower
I am very pleased with this die . It works really well with my big shot.
And this lovely sentiment is done using Sizzix Sizzlits Die Set 3PK - Card Phrases Set #3
I really like the fact that this set has really intricate fonts for the sentiments .
There are 3 sentiments in this set ,
1. Happy Birthday (used here)
2. Smile (used in my last card)
3. For your (used in a few previous projects)
I really like the versitality of this die set and its something everyone should have.
To know more about this die click here
I also made an envelop using some scrap paper i had left .
Over which i have used a Doily and a frame ring .
The oval is cut with 657902 -sizzix-framelits-die-set-4pk-frame-fancy-oval

I actually used some surgical bandage on the tag since i was out of muslin.
So here is the final look !
Hope u like it  :)

All boy card ! - Somthing masculine

Hi ya'll
Hope its been a great easter weekend for u all .
I am still in Europe :) enjoying my trip
But i had this card lined up so im never missed :D
We are playing the "All boy" challenge next at
Where in we are looking for some masculine cards or layouts.
We have our returning sponsors
with 5 free digi's for the winner ! :)

So coming back to the card !
I find it very tricky to make masculine cards .... Its totally out of my comfort zone
so i cant say im very proud of this one here.
But im surely hoping to see what u guys think.
So here goes.
I actually sat with the card base for like 30 mins thinking what i would do with it ....
Which is totally is pathetic considering im a spontaneous card designer...
Anyways i finally just went head one and used all my manly sizzix supplies :D

I first stamped my cardstock with a watch stamp by inkadinado in potters clay

I cut out the super cute film strip.

Pretty right ? Well i didnt have any tiny pictures but i found the perfect pattern paper
to fit behind the film strip . The paper u see here is by Echo park , everyday eclectic collection.
The frame u see in the center that has the camera on it
is hand cut .
Next i embossed the ruler using the
It gives u a whole set of measuring tapes embossed i just cut one of it and inked it.

And this lovely sentiment is done using Sizzix Sizzlits Die Set 3PK - Card Phrases Set #3
i really like the font of the sentiment. Its really fun.

Last but not the least comes the camera die :)
Please note that since this is a movers and shapers die , which is magnetic basically ,
you will need the

Sizzix Movers & Shapers Accessory - Base Tray
for using them or a sizzix Pop up base die.
So thats about it from me :) Hope u liked my work
Waiting for your thoughts !
