Laced Window card

Hello bloggers !
Welcome back to my blog.
Its been really busy here with lots of orders coming in
(and all of them are LAST min Urgent Ones , Phewww)
So i have been Creating like a mad woman .... My carpet is full of paper dust :P
(which im gonna have a bad time cleaning )
And my crafting table as supplies all over the place :D
but none the less i am having a good time killing my back over some really cute cards that i made :)

I have tutorial on making a window card with sizzix Thinlits dies.

For which I am using the lovely pallet of pastels that is shared on
Moxie fab Tuesday Trigger
I have been meaning to use the lattice die from the 659069 sizzix-thinlits-die-set-6pk-butterfly-flowers-lattice set for a while and i figured it would look really great this way :)
So i went ahead with it :)

The pink flower is handmade! I used some lovely hobbycraft crepe paper to make it .
Its totally hand cut and assembled . I used the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles #2
to make the rolled roses .
Now coming to the tutorial on how i made this window.

First cut a window on the folded card base with one of the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 5PK - Frames, Decorative #2 die. You may use any other die u like too.
Then pick a design paper and cut another window keeping in mind the size of the card base.
Before cutting just make sure u place the DP under the previously cut card base and make a light trace of the already cut window, this will guide you where to place your die on the DP.

Alternatively you may also keep the DP and your card stock together when u first cut it. But i get a bit paranoid of the paper moving and me cutting it the wrong way so i do the cuts separately.
Often ppl use washi tape to stick the die in one place , but i hate to waste it :)
Now place your lattice on the card front in a way that it covers the window u make earlier .
And glue it . The reason i placed the lattice a bit up and down was to align the design pattern.

Now just glue the DP that we cut previously sandwiching the lattice. And its as easy as that !
Your laced window is done ! :)

This is how clean it looks from the inside. Cool right ?
So i made this into a birthday card.
The rose buds are handmade :) Used some white and yellow this time .
Hope u all liked my work :)
Waiting to hear your thoughts ! :)

Sky is the limit ! - All the best card

hello bloggers !
Welcome back to Lightbox creative Ideas !
I have another card for u today which i made on order for
someone who was leaving my husband's workplace.
And i based it totally on the theme set by our DT member Jovi
for the next challenge over at Beyond Grey challenges

The challenge is called
Sky is the limit !
where is we have to create a project using
Elements from the sky !
And Our premium sponsor Crafters Corner is sponsoring a voucher of  Rs 500 to the winner.
Jovi asks to use at least one element in your project seen in the sky (So you can use the sky background, clouds, an airplane, a rocket,etc... actually the sky is the limit)
And she specifically says that using a single butterfly or insect is not what we have in mind.
So i kinda went with ONE (Yes :P Just one !)
Bird element :)
I created a Blue frame with a sky-ish look . I sort of wanted to create a Bird going home
scene . The house is hand drawn and cut. The sentiment is handwritten.
My handwriting is too plain :P so i dont like it much.
but i didnt get an all the best stamp on time and this was a real rush rush order.
But in the end it came out well and everyone was happy, me included.
For once all the flowers u see here are NOT handmade by me :P
I picked them up at Hobby craft ! Oh they have an amazing wedding aisle which has like .... really amazing flowers.

This thinilits set has some lovely dies. But i love these leaves they kinda fit with anything.
Hope u liked it :)
Do join us at  Beyond Grey challenges
Waiting to hear what u think !

Thank you card for teacher.

I recently made a card for a friend of mine ,who wanted to give a thank you card to her daughters teacher at school as they are moving from the school.
She wanted me to make a card using tilda which is my fab thing to do
so I had a great time doing this one.

I went with all sorts of tags for this card. the two tags on top sort of go into the little space they are stuffed in. I find it really fun to make pockets to fit in tags and secret messages :) for the receiver to find.

Was it my luck that it the sun was shining at 8:30 PM in my part of the world ? :)
Well i guess so ! Summers are heavy this time around .

I have listed the supplies i have used for this project below as always !
you may click on the blue links to see where i got them from.
Now these rose buds are my latest obsession ! I made them myself
As u all know by now , i love making my own flowers.
I will be soon trying a few different colors to make my own collection.
And maybe share a video soon when im perfect.
