Mixed media Canvas -Shabby Love !

Hello bloggers !
Im very excited to show you my first shabby chic mixed media canvas !
I saw this mini canvas in a store which was really inexpensive and that got my mojo kicking !
So i decided to make a mixed media canvas for the home :)
and of course it had to be shabby chic !!
Here is how it looks
Caution * Picture overload !
I took inspiration from a picture i saw on live and love crafts blog
When i started i was itching to go for my fav Pink and blue combination ! :D  (I see Blue and pink everywhere)
But it was just too obvious so i decided to go with some ash grey :)
I wasn't sure how it will look but im very happy with the results.
The word LOVE on the inspiration picture made me pick my sentiment !

The flowers are handmade! While my internet connection decided to go bonkers on me ,
I was killing time making some lovely blooms, i simply adore these ! :)

There goes some gorgeous pie lane - glitter ball cluster ! :)
I did make some Home made texture paste with which i made a few hearts !
So im sure u already noticed the text ..... Prison , going to kill me ? :P Its from a David Baldacci novel ....
Yes it broke my heart to tear of pages and i kept cursing myself....
Anyway....
The sentiment is cut with 657789 sizzix-sizzlits-die-set-3pk-love-set
on a packaging cardboard ! On which i have applied hint of gesso and stamped some texts !

Here is some stamping on the sides :) Love how it looks !
The wooden flourish is from Itsy bitsy.
On the left is some home made texture paste and on the right is some gesso .
I used some brick formation stencil to apply that .
I kept it shabby on purpose, didnt want it to be perfect.

There are hints of cheese cloth and pearls with an admit one ticket and a half cut doily underneath there somewhere !

Another look !
Hope u enjoyed my canvas
Waiting to hear your thoughts !
Hugs !

  1. I think that the grey was a great choice, your colors look fabulous together! I tend to always reach for the same colors too. Sometimes it's hard for me to step outside that color comfort zone. I really admire you for doing that. Thank you for sharing your project with us this week for the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge. ~Michelle
