Fluttering Butterflies

Hiya all !!

How u all been ? Hope u all have had a nice and crafty week. 

I have another card to share with u today. 

Its another CAS card :) 

The girls over at CASual Fridays are having a new challenge which 

inspired me to make this card.

 So here is my card ! 

 I have used the658284-sizzix-textured-impressions-embossing-folders-2pk-chevrons-flourishes-set 

for embossing the layer on top.

That lovely butterfly is cut with  Memory-Box-CHLOE-BUTTERFLY die.

I have 2 layers going on there to make it flutter.

The lovely tag is cut with Sizzix Framelits Die Set 12PK - Tags, Sentiments 

I wish the splatter would have come a little better than this. 

I have used distress inks for that.

Spellbinders floral ovals card

Hello all 

Welcome back to another post. 

Here is a card i made recently with the spellbinders floral oval die. 

 

 I made this with a video tute that i saw somewhere long time a go , 

sadly i don't remember who it was from. 

But still it came out very well !

 To cut out this CAS card i used the Spellbinderspaperarts-floral-ovals die. 

Ovals are cut with Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 4PK - Tags (smaller one) and 

658949 sizzix-thinlits-die-frame-ornate-oval  (bigger one)

The little lace border peaking from the top is cut with
657747 sizzix-sizzlits-decorative-strip-die-regal-edging 

 The design papers are from The Works , UK. Loved this paper pad with cute papers :)

I have used the tilda mini stamp 233-Magnolia mini - Congratulations tilda

And the sentiment is by inkadikado stamps. 

 Finally the tiny tag is made with Prima papers cut with

 Sizzix Framelits Die Set 12PK - Tags, Sentiments 

The gorgeous flowers are from Itsy bitsy , boutique elements .

All black card !

Hi all ! 

Welcome back to another post :) 

I am back yet again with another challenge on the Beyond Grey challenges blog

Now that it was my turn to throw in a challenge ... i kept wondering what to do 

I was sure i wanted a color challenge as we havent had that in a while . 

So an idea struck me why not make a Black card with only little pop of color ? 

So thats how it came to me ... 

But it was by far the most difficult to follow ..... 

So here is the newest challenge !

Oh So Knotty ! 

Now this challenge has 2 parts to it.  (Please read carefully to avoid confusion)

 You are free to make any paper crafted project , card or layout as long as

1. Your project has a KNOT  (or many knots) of some kind on it .
It can be ribbons, twins, fabric, jute or anything that can be knotted . 

2. Your project needs to be a complete black project with only Maroon or shades of maroon color on it, that means Maroon should stand out on black.
Neutrals like white, Kraft and beige are allowed but in limited amount. 

 Now that is sorted ,

Lets move on to my inspiration

I have used the 657748 Sizzix-textured-impressions-embossing-folder-classical-beauty-baroque-wallpaper-set for embossing the layer on top of the card.
I also sanded the edges to reduce the size of the paper so that the embossed layer is easily visible.
i then went for the chalk board effect with some white pigment ink on the embossed motifs .

Next using the doily that i cut with  659058 sizzix-thinlits-die-set-2pk-doily & doily-border#2
and inked it with black ink just slightly .
 I then stacked some ribbon i had into pleats and pushed it underneath the floral ovals die.

This flower is totally handmade using 659069 sizzix-thinlits-die-set-6pk-butterfly-flowers-lattice 
 

This flourish is made with Sizzix-sizzlits-die-card-phrases-set
The set has 3 pieces and has a lot to offer !
For the knot part of my challenge i decided to go with net fabric and made a double bow !

Tilda Shaker card !

Welcome back !

I couldn't wait to share this card with u all 

(I know u can guess.... 2nd post in a day :D ) 

I just finished making this one , 

Im on tilda madness !

Here is what i made 

 This is my first ever shaker card ! I got inspired by the simply magnolia blog to make one !
They are having a challenge of shaker magnolia cards .

Nothing is a better shaker card material than our very own Pie lane - chunky glitter !!! 

I used the one in periwinkle ! to color my tilda i have used my promarkers and im very happy with the results. Although i still prefer to do my hair with watercolor pencils, Don't have enough pro-markers to blend for the hair.

Here i have used the 658947 Sizzix-thinlits-die-set-2pk-doily-doily-border in a pearly kraft color for some layering. 

Created the shaker center piece with Spellbinders-floral-ovals die.

The tag is cut with Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 4PK - Tags 

One amazing tag die set that has about 4 different tag dies !

And i have also used the  Memory-box-die-whimsy-circle for layering with
Magnolia Doohickey Die - Dragonflies for some wings ! :) 

Do u love my handmade gardenia flower ?
I was experimenting with some papers and i made these in different colors .
The flourish is cut with 657522 Sizzix-sizzlits-die-set-3pk-card-phrases-set 
There is the die cut lace peaking out from underneath :) which i loveeeeee!!
its again cut with 658947 Sizzix-thinlits-die-set-2pk-doily-doily-border

Summer fresh birthday tag

Hello all ! 

Welcome back to another post. 

I have a tag to showcase today.

 

I started off with a commercial e-flute paper for the backing. Its cut from a carton box that was in my home.

Then used my prima paper in pink sanded the edges and tore a bit from below for the background to show. 

Here is the tag with a gift wrap !

There is some white gesso on the flowers and all over the tag.

I have used the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 4PK - Borders for the flourish.

The flowers here are totally handmade .

We are playing for some summer fresh colors for birthdays this time 

over at BGC 

so here is my alteration of the same tag for the BGC-30-summer-fresh-birthday

 

The birthday stamp i used here is by inkadinkado - sentiments .
