Embossed watercolor card

Hello bloggers !
Welcome back to another little post :)
I made this embossed card recently with a bit of water coloring using distress inks.
I am using one of the sketches from MFT website
Moving the sketch a little bit with the shapes as well, here is what i made

I thought the sentiment seems apt for a love themed card :) but i wanted to use non traditional colors.
I just rubbed my ink pads on the embossing pad and sprayed some water on top and let the colors mix.

After which i just ran it through my big shot with my card stock sandwiched in between.

Love how it left the whites embossed .

I have also heat embossed the swirly die cut cardstock in gold.
Love how it looks ! :)
Hope you all liked my simple but colorful card.
Until soon !

Pop up box card - Moving together

Hello friends !!!
today I have a pop up box to share with you all.
This one was made on order for a couple who had moved in together .
So here is my card

These pop up box cards are really a rage right now in the crafting community.
And so far I feel that people love the surprise of everything popping out like this.
I don’t know who invented this genius card type but hats off to that person!

I added all my elements according to the theme.
I hand colored the main image of this lovely light house and house by the beach.
Hand colored the lips with Promarkers and then added some glossy accents to make it look shiny.
The mustache and the clock they are cut with Sizzix-thinlits-die-set-top-hats-mustaches
Here are some close ups

And here is my sentiment
Which is printed and then cut out in a circle J
I have used a spellbinders die under it for the ornate effect.
I have my full post on the same card at Itsy bitsy blog if you would like to check it out !

Thanks!!!
Happy holidays!

Simple Pleasures - 12 X 12 Layout

Hello friends !
I just tried my hands on a 12 X 12 Layout this time.
I have never done a full size one before.
but i think this turned out very nice and i really liked it.
And of course it had to be mixed media.

Since my photo was floral, I decided to use all my flower power! These lovely blooms are by Itsy Bitsy.
I smuggled in some of my handmade flowers in too :)

The ones in white in the corners
Really love how these butterflies turned out. I did spend a while in doing them.
They are stamped and colored with Luna watercolor pencils , after which i filled in the black spaces with some darker black pen . Love how that makes the color pop !

Here is another B&W pic of the LO with selective colors .... I love how it looks :)
 Thanks for reading :)
See u soon !

Challenges :
bloomgirls august challenge (Used Blue, pink and white from the palette)
I was pretty much inspired by the colors of the spools and the floral shoe. I figured going for a dress form or a dressy fabric in my LO will be too obvious , so i went for the over all grey white and blue colors of the mood board and added a splash of color to the neutrals by using some colors from the spools. Also i have the floral element and i used an actual thread from a spool :) .

The shell buttons are actally from a necklace that was broken so i used it here.
The sequin comes from a small piece of unusable boarder lace.
The sentiment is hand written on a die cut negative (sizzix fence die).
