Mixed media Album Cover - Memory

Hello bloggers !
Welcome back to another post!
this time i have a lovely album cover to share with you .
 Lets take look
This is an album i made for myself to document the lovely memories i share with my loving husband !
We have traveled a lot the past year and i decided to document everything we did .
I am just sharing the cover since the inside pages are personal .

Since its about us , i decided to go with the couple silhouette.
They seem so in love isnt it ? :) i always feel like they are about to kiss .. he he
Anyway I started of with a pizza box (YES!! massive altering !)

I glued papers from an old book (Sorry David !)
I dont normally go tearing my books but this was the only old one i had with me so i went with it.

I covered the pizza box with the papers i had just torn (the album size is just a little bigger than 8 X 8 )
After my whole cover was glued with text papers , i went ahead and added some mesh cloth at some places and played with some texture paste (Grunge paste) through a Prima flower stencil.

Here is a closer look at the texture. I have used Lindy's Stamp Gang mists here to create the dripping and burst of spray. This was just the initial thing, i ended up doing a lot of misting on it to create the final background you now see.
I love the gold brads ! The sentiment is by Inkadinkado mini's

Thats how the side of the album looks .
The word Memory is from Maya road chipboard letters which i have dipped in golden pixie dust.
The flowers are all handmade with Joy craft flower dies.
There is a prima resin flower there with a few pieces of sequin .... I really love this spray :)
This is my fav part of the cover !
The silhouettes are a must have ! (Mine are by sizzix)
Again there is a bit of misting involved ! I have used the redish moon shadow spray by Lindy's there on the black silhouettes. I really love how the texture shows from beneath the couple ! Very magical !
Hope you enjoyed my album cover .
I really had the best time doing this :)
Cant wait to hear your thoughts !
Hugs

  13. This is absolutely beautiful, I am going to try this technique, I have a pizza box that I had kept and then thought I would never use it and was going to through it out, will keep it now, and your album is a good size, not too big, I just love it and hope your hubby will too.
